A: No.

Q: How do I know you aren�t part of some disinformation plot?

A: I have no connection to any government anything. I think the pictures are evidence enough- though anyone is free to believe that I am one of the greatest graphic artists of all time, of course, and made everything up. They would be mistaken, but I would be duly flattered. But I think that�s pretty silly.

Q: Where did you get the special software you use?

A: I have Paint Shop Pro and Photoshop, and use NASAView and the Amazing MOC-O-Matic to process the raw files and Irfanview to check the results. That�s it. The rest is the FUDGE technique and hard work Remember, Edison invented the light bulb only because he didn�t know it couldn�t be done- if you listen to people who tell you something can�t be done, it won�t be.

Q: What the heck is the FUDGE technique?

A: Fractal Unification Decryptive Gestalt Enabler. Named (aptly, I assure you) in �honor� of several other much-publicized procedures that I hold in some suspicion as to their mysterious powers. By the very nature of the underlying format of the images, which I have dubbed �.mtm�, for � Martian Topo Mapping�, I have trouble seeing how any supposedly conventional technique would produce results. At the least, the true characteristics of the images would at some point be discernable, as they were for me. I would think. Unless there was something fishy going on. Which is enough technical stuff for the moment- filling in the logic of the preceding statement would get lengthy, so don�t worry about it for now.

Q: Are you saying that the images are actually in color? You aren�t colorizing or tinting them? How could that be?

A: Yes, they are, no, I am not, and because it is �alien� technology involved in taking the pictures. The fractal structure of the images could not be anything BUT full color- in fact, I have a suspicion that with appropriate tools, I could extract far more than just the visible spectrum...though I wouldn�t know what to do with the extra data anyway. Based on months of analysis of the images, I have begun to wonder if they are more analogous to a hyperdimensional �hyperlink� to the subject than a simple recording. But that is pure speculation on my part. It would explain how the amount of data seems to be independent of the file size, however. Hey, they didn�t call it �MAJIC� for nothing, you know.

Q: When is the MaToMa Decoder going to be available, so I can do these enhancements myself (without all that hard work)?

A: It�s just a joke. Thought it might provoke a few fainting spells amongst the you-know-who. Sorry. But I think it very possible that someone could write such a program, which might even be better than the Captain Midnight Decoder that the insiders apparently have- I think � they� got it with the image taking technology, and haven�t improved on it since (whatever it is). Get busy, CodeBoy!

Q: Why do you have such a whimsical tone to your website? Some people won�t take your research seriously.

A: So? A lot of Truth hides in humor. Consider it my honorable alternative version of �...Truth�s protective layers� There is enough dread-serious stuff out there already, most of it wrong. Time will prove me right, because I am. Pompous formality is for the insecure to hide behind.. I�m a cheerful person by nature, and the Martians were, from all evidence I can find, a very cheerful bunch, despite having their planet devastated at least twice. We didn�t turn into sourpusses until after we got here.
